Vertical Jump Vertical jump is probably the most popular and scientifically accepted means of determining power. Power is very important for speed, quickness and jump height. Explosive Leg Power Power is one of the most critical factors in jumping and athletic performance. Power is defined as strength/time. Specific, high intensity, low volume training is essential for Power development. It must be carefully monitored to avoid injury. Fatigue Index Indicates anaerobic capacity or the ability to sustain top performance in events or segments of sport which last approximately 30 seconds to 4 minutes in duration. Your Fatigue Index indicates "how much is left in the tank" near the end of a high intensity bout of exercise. Fatigue Index was measured with the switch mat. Reaction Time Reaction time was calculated from the 4-jump test on the switch timing mat. The ability to switch directions and move the feet quickly is associated with Reaction Time. Most all sports require good reaction time for maximum performance.
